Her Morning Elegance

Her Morning Elegance is a fabulous stop motion music video by Oren Lavie. The storyboard for the entire video was first created using computer generated 3d characters in place of its actors. Roughly 3225 still photos were shot for the video using one camera hanging from the ceiling for the main body of the movie. It took 2 days of shooting with live actors to create the 3.5 minute music video frame by frame. Overall, its a wonderful song.

I’ve always maintained that you got to find a pair of denim with the right fade. Most of the jeans you see these days have very poor or highly ‘manufactured’ fade in them. I’ve recently spent a small fortune on getting a couple of pairs of jeans and I’m thoroughly satisfied with the fade and colors. Like David says, “They can’t just be faded. They have to be the right color.

Fashion Photography

Ramp Attack at RGB was an opportunity for me to experiment on fashion photography. Since I was using a normal lens (which had no luxury of zoom) I had to be close to the stage in order to capture some decent photos. There was ample scope for experimentation and I did manage to learn to quickly switch settings on the fly to capture the images based on ambient light. I’m quite happy with the results and would love to hear your thoughts on it as well.
